Rear quarter panel and sill
Rear quarter panel and sill repair in Biel
The rear quarter panel and the sill are welded to the body and are therefore repaired wherever possible: panel beating, straightening, filling and painting. With severe deformation or rust perforation, a section is cut out and a new part welded in to the manufacturer's specification. Carrosserie K.I. in Biel also checks the load-bearing structure behind it.

Frequently asked questions
Can a rear quarter panel be beaten out or does it have to be replaced?
+
In many cases it can be beaten out and straightened. Because the rear quarter panel is welded to the body, replacement is only chosen when the metal is too badly stretched or torn. Then usually only the damaged section is replaced. Which solution fits often only becomes clear after dismantling.
What does it cost to repair a sill?
+
The work ranges from a simple paint touch-up to welding work with cavity sealing. The decisive factors are deformation, rust and whether the inner structure is affected. With photos in the online damage report you will receive an indicative quote incl. VAT within 24 hours, and the final price follows after the inspection.
Is rust on the sill a problem at the vehicle inspection?
+
It can be. The sill is part of the load-bearing structure. Rust perforation and sharp edges can be objected to at the MFK (Swiss roadworthiness test). Surface rust is usually not critical but should be treated before it spreads. Have the condition checked early, then the repair stays smaller.
Why you can entrust the repair to us
Save up to CHF 1'000
The same excess as at your insurer’s partner garage
Many policies charge a higher excess if you do not go to the insurer’s partner garage. With us you still pay only the excess you would have there: we cover the difference. That way you save up to CHF 1'000 and still choose your body shop freely.
CHF 50 less
CHF 50 less than your partner garage’s quote
Bring the written quote of a partner garage or an independent body shop for the same repair: we do it CHF 50 cheaper, for example CHF 450 instead of CHF 500, incl. VAT. {insp}
